It was 1993. I built my first website and bought a domain called interurban.net. My simple pages were placed on an IIS server that I managed at work. I discovered over the years that the act of building the sites gave me more satisfaction than the act of posting to them. This creative distinction has remained important. Thirty years have now passed. The essential character of the activity has not changed.

Why now

I kept building throughout the years, but it's been an eternity since I've mainteined a permanent place for them, like a home base. So this site is that place and it will be here that my experiemtnts and projects will be gathered.

Why the name

It's a nod to one of my favorite movies Rushmore and to Max Fischer's unwavering dedication to do what he loves. As Max reminds me, "I saved Latin. What did you ever do?"
